Waynesburg’s Christner named PAC Coach of Year: W&J’s Bellhy 1st team
Waynesburg University’s Mark Christner was named Tuesday the PAC Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year after leading the Yellow Jackets to a 15-12 season that included a 9-7 record in conference play and a spot in the PAC tournament semifinals.
Washington & Jefferson junior Nate Bellhy was named to the league’s five-player first team, becoming the first Presidents player to receive the honor since 2009.
Bellhy, a Fort Cherry High School graduate, finished the season third in the conference in both scoring (18.0 points per game) and rebounding (9.0).
Waynesburg’s Jason Propst was named to the second team after averaging a team-best 11.3 points and 6.2 rebounds.
Dillon Stith, a 6-5 senior for conference tournament champion Saint Vincent, was named the PAC Player of the Year.
