W&J men win PAC’s All-Sports Trophy
For the 10th consecutive year, the Washington & Jefferson College men’s athletic program has won the Presidents’ Athletic Conference All-Sports Trophy. W&J, which totaled 62.5 points, has won every PAC men’s all-sports trophy since the 2004-05 academic year and 15 of the last 22 awarded since 1992.
W&J used second-place finishes for the baseball and golf teams to clinch the men’s trophy. W&J edged second-place Waynesburg, which had 57 points. Grove City (56.5) was third followed by Saint Vincent (53), Thomas More (50.5), Westminster (41.5), Bethany (37.5), Thiel (37.5) and Geneva (21). The runner-up finish is the best ever for Waynesburg.
Grove City led wire-to-wire to win its second-straight women’s All-Sports Trophy. The Wolverines have finished among the top two in each of the last five years.
Washington & Jefferson placed third with 60 points and behind Grove City (71) and Westminster (67.5). Waynesburg was sixth with 45 points.
