Waynesburg’s Louco, W&J’s Mangold to D-III track championships
The participants for the 2014 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships have been released and Waynesburg’s Byrum Louco and Washington & Jefferson’s Cheyenne Mangold will be returning to the meet that begins Thursday in Delaware, Ohio.
Louco has qualified for the third time and will be competing in the 400-meter hurdles. A three-time Presidents’ Athletic Conference champion, Louco is seeded ninth.
Mangold will compete in both the 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles.
An All-American in both events last year, Mangold will start her championship Thursday in one of the three semifinal heats in the 400-meter hurdles. The top eight times advance to Saturday’s final.
