Pisula sets Southmoreland rushing record in win over Burgettstown

Jake Pisula set a Southmoreland record with 305 rushing yards on 30 carries, adding a pair of touchdown runs, as the Scotties ran past Burgettstown, 40-14, in an Interstate Conference game Friday night.

Pisula scored on runs of 57 and 59 yards, the first coming with just 20 seconds remaining in the first half that gave Southmoreland (4-1, 4-2) a 21-0 halftime lead. The Scotties then blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone to go ahead 28-0.

Cole LaRocka scored a pair of touchdowns for the Blue Devils (1-4, 1-5), the first coming on a 28-yard run late in the third quarter and the second on a 20-yard pass from Brad McLaughlin late in the game.
