Jeanette scores 37 in second quarter, beats Monessen

Gio Vanne Sanders returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown and the game’s first score and Jeannette scored 37 points in the second quarter Friday night en route to a 52-22 Eastern Conference win over Monessen.

Sanders also scored on a 33-yard run and Terrell Canady scored three touchdowns on the ground for the Jayhawks (6-1, 6-1).

Noah Rullo threw a 41-yard TD pass to Tyler Mikita, while Malik Harris and Derez Tyree scored fourth quarter touchdowns rushing for Monessen (4-3, 4-3).
