The California University football team debuted at No. 25 in the this week’s D2Football.com Top 25 poll.

The Vulcans vaulted into the rankings for the first time this season after a 48-26 victory over then-No. 19 Slippery Rock Saturday. Cal has won its last four games with its only loss this season coming in overtime on the road to then-No. 21 Bloomsburg.

Cal is one of three schools from the PSAC in the latest poll. West Chester and Bloomsburg each moved up one spot to Nos. 8 and 12, respectively.

Cal returns to action Saturday when it hosts rival IUP in the sixth-annual Coal Bowl at 1 p.m.
