Cal football crack D-II Top 25
The California University football team debuted at No. 25 in the this week’s D2Football.com Top 25 poll.
The Vulcans vaulted into the rankings for the first time this season after a 48-26 victory over then-No. 19 Slippery Rock Saturday. Cal has won its last four games with its only loss this season coming in overtime on the road to then-No. 21 Bloomsburg.
Cal is one of three schools from the PSAC in the latest poll. West Chester and Bloomsburg each moved up one spot to Nos. 8 and 12, respectively.
Cal returns to action Saturday when it hosts rival IUP in the sixth-annual Coal Bowl at 1 p.m.
