Blackhawk overcomes interceptions to beat Big Macs
CANONSBURG – Brady Reed threw a pair of second half touchdown passes less than a minute apart as Blackhawk came from behind to beat Canon-McMillan, 21-13, in a non-confernce game Friday night.
Bryan Milligan, who gained 169 yards on 35 carries, scored a 1-yard TD run and Jordan Smith caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Dom Eannace to give the Big Macs (0-9) a 13-0 lead.
But Zach Cousin scored on a 16-yard fumble recovery for Blackhawk (3-6) just before the half to make it 13-7.
Reed then threw touchdown passes of 13 yards to Chris Johnson at the 6:36 mark of the third quarter, and followed it up with a 10-yard scoring pass to Austin Javens less than 30 seconds later to put put the Cougars ahead to stay.
Shane Danyo, Dillon Dzikowski and Justin Mattola all had interceptions for the Big Macs.
