Beth-Center’s Woods gets 100th career win
CALIFORNIA – Anthony Welsh and Nico Brown both rushed for 100 yards as Beth-Center gave head coach Ed Woods his 100th career victory with a 47-0 Tri-County South high school football victory over California Friday night.
Welsh had 108 yards on eight carries, scoring two rushing touchdowns, while Brown had 105 yards and two scores on seven carries, as Beth-Center (2-0, 3-0) stayed unbeaten and improved Woods’ career record to 100-51 in 16 seasons.
Welsh and Jason Stay, who also had a rushing touchdown, also caught scoring passes from Trent Cunko, who completed all four of his passes for 56 yards.
Bobby Work had eight tackles for the Bulldogs.
California falls to 0-2 in conference and 0-3 overall.
