Boys soccer: Trinity stays unbeaten in 6-AA, routs Uniontown

Dawson Hilk scored two goals and Trinity took control of the match early en route to a 5-0 victory over host Uniontown in Section 6-AA Tuesday night.

The Hillers (4-0, 6-1), who raced to a 3-0 lead at halftime, have won six in a row.

Alex Belcastro scored one goal and assisted on another, and Preston Kulla and Austin Armstrong each had a goal for Trinity. Goalkeeper Ben Johnson kept Uniontown (1-3, 3-5) off the scoreboard.

• Aaron Harris and Nate Stout combined for five goals as host McGuffey defeated Waynesburg 5-0 in Section 6-AA.

Harris scored three goals and assisted on Stout’s two tallies. Stout had two assists for the Highlanders, who led 4-0 at halftime.

McGuffey is 3-2 in the section and 4-4 overall.

• Brandon Benedetti scored two goals as Seton-LaSalle defeated Chartiers-Houston, 4-1, in Section 3-A.

Nick Massina and Nick Bazuchanics added goals for the Rebels (3-1, 4-3). The Bucs (0-5, 0-7-1) trailed 4-0 until Matt Hlasnick scored late in the second half.

• Zach Lutz scored two goals and Andrew Pine made one save to earn the shutout as South Fayette defeated Keystone Oaks, 5-0, in a Section 5-AA match.

Nick McKee, Tom Iagnemma and Mitch Ford also scored for the Lions (4-0, 7-0-1).

• Nick Sodini and Luke Maher scored to lift Canon-McMillan over Chartiers Valley, 2-0, in Section 5-AAA match.

Goalkeeper Christian Snatchko recorded his fifth shutout of the season for the Big Macs (2-2, 5-3).

• Monessen remained undefeated with a 2-0 victory over host bentworth in Section 4-A Tuesday.

Luke Beveridge and Josh Kuczmeroski each scored a goal for Monessen (5-0, 6-0). Justice Rice was in goal for the Greyhounds.

Bentworth fell to 2-2, 4-4-1.

• John Berdar and Sam Paci each scored two goals as Beth-Center moved to .500 in Section 4-A with and 8-3 victory over host Washington.

Hunter McKelvey, Bailey Bauer, Zach Paci and Dakota Phillips also scored goals for the Bulldogs (2-2, 2-4).

Washington’s goals came from Nathan Staso, Max Dragich and Carlos Garcia.

• Matt Massucci scored early and Peters Township piled on five more goals as the Indians routed Brashear, 5-0, in Section 5-AAA match.
