Boys soccer: Another shutout for Peters Twp.

Rylen Faloni and Luke Kelly scored goals in the first half Thursday night and Peters Township’s defense made the lead stand as the Indians blanked visiting Moon 2-0 in Section 5-AAA.

Faloni scored the match’s first goal off a corner kick by Wes Ward, and Kelly knocked in a rebound off a shot by Josh Deyarman.

PT improved its record to 5-1 in the section and 9-1 overall. All but one of the Indians’ wins have been via shutout.

Moon is 2-3-1 in section and 5-3-2 overall.

• Christian Snatchko recorded his sixth shutout of the season as Canon-McMillan defeated Brashear, 4-0, in Section 5-AAA.

Brandon Byers, Nick Russo, Alex Ablak and Nick Sodini had goals for the Big Macs (3-2-1, 7-3-1).

Brashear falls to 0-5-1, 0-7-1.

• Section 3-A leader Bishop Canevin received two goals from Clayton Crabbe to lift the Crusaders to a 3-0 win over Chartiers-Houston.

Nick Burton also scored for Bishop Canevin (7-1, 9-2).

Char-Houston is 0-8, 1-10-1.

• Jordan Smith had three goals to lead South Fayette to a 4-0 win over Obama Academy in Section 5-AA.

Andrew Pine recorded the shutout for the Lions (6-1, 9-1-1). Obama is 2-4, 4-4.
