Rullo, Rush carry Monessen to conference victory

MONESSEN – Noah Rullo completed 9 of 15 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns to lead Monessen past Wilkinsburg, 38-6, in an Eastern Conference game Friday night.

Rullo threw scoring passes of 24 yards to Jaron Youngblood and 23 to Lavelle Rush for the Greyhounds (4-1, 4-1).

Jevante Carlock recovered a fumble in the end zone, and Joey Lipscum, Derez Tyree and Brandon Handra also rushed for touchdowns for Monessen.

Jonathan Carpenter caught an 11-yard TD pass from Robert Higginbotham for Wilkinsburg (1-4, 1-4).
