Wild Things add 2 more to roster
The Wild Things have added two more players to the roster for spring training, signing right-handed pitcher Willie Ethington and outfielder Craig Massoni.
Ethington (6-3, 190) is only 21 years old and spent three seasons in the minor leagues after being drafted in the 17th round in 2012 out of Mountain View High School in Mesa, Ariz., by the Boston Red Sox. Last year, Ethington played for Lowell in the Class A New York-Penn League nad had a 2-1 record and 4.66 ERA in six games.
Massoni (6-2, 215) is 23 years old and spent two seasons in the San Francisco Giants organization. He was drafted in the 23rd round in 2013 out of Austin Peay University, where he hit 16 home runs and batted .385 in 62 games during his only season with the Govenors. Massoni batted .258 in two minor-league seasons, mostly at the Class A level.
