Jared Baird took the loss to fall to 1-2 on the season. Vento recorded an RBI single in the third inning of the second game to give W&J a 1-0 lead and increased his hitting streak to 12 games, one shy of a career-long.

Thiel scored four unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to earn the second victory.
