Waynesburg overcomes offensive struggles to defeat Westminster

Despite shooting just 31 percent from the field and having 19 turnovers, Waynesburg made 11 three-pointers and forced 26 turnovers on its way to a 75-51 win over Westminster in a PAC game.

Haley Delaney led the Yellow Jackets (2-1, 3-5) with 12 points, while Addy Knetzer and Mackenna Drazich both added 11. Drazich, an Avella High School graduate, also had a team-high seven rebounds. Waynesburg led by 19 points at halftime and outscored the Titans (0-3, 0-7) by 12 points in the third quarter. The Yellow Jackets outrebounded Westminster, 53-39, and turned 26 turnovers into 24 points. They made 20 of 29 free throws to overcome 19 missed three-point attempts.

Waynesburg also got 54 points from its bench and 11 different players scored. Westminster was led by Kristine Fromknecht’s 11 points.
