Boys basketball: Koroly’s 29 points spark Trinity’s non-section win
Sophomore guard Joey Koroly scored a career-high 29 points to lift help Trinity snap a two-game losing streak with a 67-58 win over Frazier in a non-section game Monday night.
Koroly grabbed 10 rebounds and Robert Nelson added 11 points for the Hillers (3-4), who led by six points at half and by as many as 10 in the second half. Frazier pulled to within eight points in the fourth quarter, but Trinity sealed the win at the free throw line. Josh Cox had a game-high 18 points and Caleb Cox added 12 for the Commodores (2-4).
Hundred, W.Va. 77, Mapletown 35: Holden Moore scored 41 points to help Hundred defeat Mapletown, 77-35, in a non-section game.
Danny Stewart added 19 for the Hornets (2-5), who led by 18 points at halftime before a 26-point third quarter. Cody Dice had 13 points for the Maples (0-7).
