Beaver Falls overpowers South Fayette

WEXFORD – Josh Creach scored 22 points and Donovan Jeter had 19 to power second-seeded Beaver Falls to a 69-46 victory over South Fayette in the WPIAL Class AAA boys basketball quarterfinals Friday night at North Allegheny High School.

The win sends Beaver Falls (21-2) into the semifinals Wednesday. South Fayette (18-5), which is the No. 7 seed, falls into the consolation round and will play Hampton Monday at North Allegheny.

Beaver Falls led throughout, building a 13-7 lead after one quarter and a 31-20 advantage by halftime.

Brett Brumbaugh was the only South Fayette player to score in double figures with 12 points.

The Lions were without head coach Rich Bonnaure, who did not attend the game because he had the flu.
