Roethlisberger skipping Pro Bowl

1 min read

The New Orleans Saints announced Friday that quarterback Drew Brees will replace the Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger in the Pro Bowl later this month.

Brees and Roethlisberger tied for the league lead in passing yardage this season with 4,952 yards.

The selection to the Pro Bowl was the third of Roethlisberger’s career, though he has only played in the game once, in 2008.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said the quarterback might require a minor knee surgery to clean up some loose particles.
