Blackhawks’ Carcillo suspended 6 games
CHICAGO (AP) — The NHL has suspended Chicago Blackhawks forward Daniel Carcillo for six games for cross checking Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault.
The punishment stems from a hit during Friday’s loss to the Jets when he cross checked Perreault across the back in the closing seconds of the second period..
Carcillo sat out Sunday’s game while awaiting a hearing and will miss five more.
Carcillo loses $40,243.92 in salary.
