Mike Carr stayed unbeaten for South Fayette this season and also recorded his 100th and 100st victory as the Lions advanced to the WPIAL Class AA Team tournament finals with wins over Indiana and Southmoreland Wednesday night.

Carr, a junior, helped second-seeded South Fayette earn a 69-6 victory over Indiana and a 45-20 win against Southmoreland.

The Lions will face third-seeded McGuffey Saturday in the WPIAL semifinals (1 p.m.) at Canon-McMillan High School. The finals are scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.

In another WPIAL tournament pod, Waynesburg earned a 42-27 first-round victory over Pine-Richland in the WPIAL Class AAA tournament before losing, 38-23, to top-seeded Belle Vernon in a quarterfinal match.
