ROSEMONT, Ill. – Brittany Cervantes and Danielle Zymkowitz both homered as Chicago defeated the Pennsylvania Rebellion, 6-3, in an NPF game Sunday.

Lacey Waldrop earned the win for the first-place Bandits (17-6), pitching 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Alisa Goler homered for Pennsylvania (5-17), while Kristyn Sandberg had two of the Rebellion’s six hits.

The Rebellion have now lost six consecutive games.

Prior to the game, the two teams completed a protested game, with Chicago also winning that contest, 7-6. Pennsylvania had protested the game, which was originally played June 10 at Consol Energy Park, because umpires did not implement the international tiebreaker after nine innings per NPF rules. The game had originally ended with a 7-3 Chicago victory.

It reverted back to the 10th inning, with the score tied at 3-3.
