Pride outlast Rebellion
YORK – The Pennsylvania Rebellion botched two bases-loaded situations in extra innings and ended up losing 4-3 to the USSSA Pride Thursday in a National Pro Fastpitch softball game at Santander Stadium in York. Chelsea Goodacre singled home Shelby Pendley in the top of the 12th inning for the winning run.
The defending champion Pride took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 11th when Megan Wiggins singled home Brigette Del Ponte, who began the inning at second base under the International Tiebreaker rule.
The Rebellion tied the game when Cat Osterman, brought in to pitch the bottom half of the inning, uncorked a wild pitch that allowed Maddie O’Brien to score from third base. O’Brien began the inning at second on the tiebreaker rule.
The Rebellion loaded the bases with two outs in the
