Waynesburg baseball wins its 20th game

Cam Bernhardt had two hits and drove in three runs as Waynesburg defeated host Pitt-Greensburg, 10-3, Monday in a non-conference game.

Bernhardt, Ben Shorthouse, Jonathan Kletzli, Eric Crum and Kyle Weyand all had two hits each for the Yellow Jackets (20-16-1), who will play No. 3 seed Thiel Thursday at Thomas More in the opening round of the PAC tournament. Waynesburg is the No. 2 seed.

Connor Furwa and David Cross combined to throw five innings of relief and allow just one run to get the win and save, respectively.

Chartiers-Houston graduate Dylan Pounds had a pair of hits for UPG (23-16-1).
