Steelers sign top pick Dupree to 4-year deal
The Steelers on Thursday signed first-round draft pick Bud Dupree to a four-year deal, making him the sixth of the team’s eight draft picks to come to terms with the team.
Dupree, a linebacker from Kentucky who was the 22nd pick in the draft, will receive $9.2 million, including a $4.967 million signing bonus.
Earlier in the day, the team signed fifth-round pick, tight end Jessie James of Penn State, to a four-year deal worth $2.5 million.
Third-round selection Sammie Coates, a wide receiver from Auburn, and seventh-round pick Gerod Holliman, a safety from Louisville, are the only Steelers’ draft picks who have yet to sign with the team.
