Waynesburg’s 1st win comes via shutout
WAYNESBURG – Colin McCracken threw for a touchdown, ran for a score and had one of Waynesburg’s two interceptions returns for touchdowns Friday night as the Raiders won their first game of the season, 47-0, over winless Charleroi in the Interstate Conference.
McCracken opened the scoring with a 26-yard TD pass to Cole Garrett and added a 50-yard scoring run early in the third quarter to give Waynesburg (1-4, 1-4) a 29-0 lead. He returned an interception 56 yards for a score less than seven minutes later.
Jack Fudala rushed for two touchdowns, covering three and 11 yards. Jacob Tretinik had a one-yard scoring plunge and Logan Henderson capped the scoring by returning an interception 76 yards.
Fudala rushed for 124 yards on eight carries and McCracken had 94 on nine attempts.
Charleroi is 0-5, 0-5.
