Johnston’s big game not enough for CH against Neshannock
HOUSTON – Frank Antuono threw for 106 yards and two scores and also rushed for a touchdown as Neshannock held off Chartiers-Houston, 34-28, in a non-conference game Friday night.
Jonah Vitale scored one touchdown each on a pass and a run, the second of which gave Neshannock (7-1) a 34-13 lead early in the fourth quarter.
But T.J. Johnston, who completed 26 of 32 passes for 316 yards and three TDs, scored on a 4-yard run, and threw a 2-yard TD pass to Ethan Shober for the Bucs (4-4).
Ty Wormsley was Johnston’s favorite target, catching 10 passes for 155 yards and a score. Shober hauled in eight passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. Joe Cavallo also caught a TD pass for the Bucs, who need to beat Fort Cherry next Friday to clinch the fourth, and final, playoff spot in the Black Hills Conference.
