Prexies improve to 8-0 with win over Southmoreland
SCOTTDALE – The Washington defense provided another shutout performance this season by shutting down the Southmoreland offense in a 41-0 rout Fright night in Class AA Interstate Conference action.
Southmoreland (3-4, 3-5) became Washington’s third shutout of the regular season, as the Prexies have allowed just under six points-per game so far this season, giving up just 15 points over the last three games.
Washington (7-0, 8-0) scored its first two touchdowns on a 65-yard run from Jordan West followed by a 67-yard run from Kurt Adkins.
Senior quarterback Markel Pulliam went 6 for 6 for 134 yards and three touchdowns, all coming in the second quarter.
