South Fayette rolls to 41st consecutive win
McDONALD – Mikey Speca ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as South Fayette rolled over visiting Summit Academy, 50-6, in a non-conference game Friday night for the Lions’ 41st consecutive victory.
South Fayette (9-0) led 21-6 after one quarter and 48-6 at halftime.
Speca threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Ryhan Culberson to start the scoring and added TD runs of 78 and three yards in the second quarter. The latter score came with 28 seconds left in the first half.
Speca completed all six of his passes for 100 yards and rushed for 114 yards on only eight carries.
Geovanie Love had touchdown runs of one and 14 yards for the Lions, and Hunter Hayes scored on a 28-yard run. Hayes had 86 yards on nine carries.
The only scoring in the second half was a safety. The Lions’ Rasaun Culberson tackled the Summit Academy punter in the end zone in the fourth quarter.
