J-M ground game rolls over Avella

JEFFERSON – Colton Davidson ran for two touchdowns Friday night and led Jefferson-Morgan’s three 100-yard rushers as the Rockets cruised to a 53-0 victory over Avella in a Tri-County South Conference game at Parker Field.

Jefferson-Morgan (2-1, 2-1) rushed for 356 yards, led by Davdison’s 118 on seven carries. Davidson scored on runs of 15 and 60 yards.

Joe Headlee ran for 113 yards on 11 carries, and Trevor Kniha also had 113 on just five carries. Headlee had TD runs of 15 and 56 yards, and also threw a 15-yard scoring pass to Jake Bissett on the final play of the first quarter that gave J-M a 26-0 lead. Kniha had scorign runs of 58 and 41 yards.

Eli Rafail opened the scoring with a one-yard TD run.
