Mt. Pleasant grinds out win over Burgettstown

BURGETTSTOWN – Chris Wagner and Jake Adamrovich each averaged more than 10 yards per carry to lead Mount Pleasant to a 44-7 victory over Burgettstown in an Interstate Conference game Friday night at Hill Memorial Stadium.

Wagner rushed for 140 yards, including an 86-yard touchdown. Adamrovich ran for 103 yards on 10 carries for the Vikings (3-0, 3-0), who rushed for 419 yards. He also caught a 5-yard TD and had a touchdown run of 27 yards.

The Vikings’ Johnny Yester completed all of his four passing attempts for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Brad McLaughlin completed 12 of 24 passes for 104 yards, and ran for a score, for Burgettstown (1-2, 1-2).
