Wild Things gather pitcher Moss

The Wild Things added another pitcher to their roster Friday by signing 26-year-old right-hander Trevor Moss.

A Wisconsin native, Moss (6-2, 165) pitched three seasons in the Los Angeles Angels’ system after being drafted in the 22nd round in 2013 out of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Moss pitched in 30 games last year’s for the Inland Empire 66ers, the Angels’ affiliate in the high-Class A California League. In 80 professional games (16 starts), Moss has a 13-8 record and 3.60 ERA.

At Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Moss had an 8-6 record as a senior and gave up only 77 hits in 102 innings with 103 strikeouts.

The Wild Things open their 15th Frontier League season May 13 at the Gateway Grizzlies. The home opener is May 20 against the Lake Erie Crushers.
