Serra knocks off Mapletown
McKEESPORT – Jacquae Jackson scored three touchdowns to spark a 28-point first quarter that turned into a 42-12 victory over Mapletown in a non-conference high school football game Friday.
Khalil Smith rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries and scored the first touchdown of the game on a 1-yard run for Serra Catholic (1-0). He also had a 72-yard kickoff return for a score in the third quarter.
Dylan Rush gained 161 yards and scored on runs of 29 and 15 yards for the Maples (0-1).
