Girls basketball: Waynesburg’s Garber and Monica a winning duo against Avella

Kirsten Garber and Celine Monica combined for 50 points and 12 three-point field goals Friday night to help the Raiders run past Avella 66-43 in a non-section game.
Garber scored 26 points and had a career-high seven three-point field goals for the Raiders (7-11). Monica added 24 with the help of six three-pointers.
Kodi Georgetti led Avella (6-12) with 12 points.
Fort Cherry 41, Burgettstown 39: Shannon Relihan sank two free throws with about eight seconds to play to secure a 41-39 victory over Burgettstown in a non-section game.
Hannah Greene chipped in with 10 points for the Rangers (8-11), who led 34-32 after three quarters.
Kacie Prasko had a game-high 19 points for the Blue Devils (10-10).
Jefferson-Morgan 57, Bentworth 18: Jefferson-Morgan sank 10 three-point field goals on the way to a 57-18 victory over Bentworth in a non-section game.
Nikki Venick had a team-high 17 points and two three-point field goals for the Rockets (18-1). Kayla Yorko and Erin Confortini each scored 11 with three three-pointers. Anna Mattish had two for six points.
Heather Chester’s 11 points paced Bentworth (3-16).
