Rebellion have no answers for Abbott

HOUSTON – Miranda Kramer and Dallas Escobedo matched Monica Abbott pitch for pitch through six innings, but the Scrap Yard Dawgs scored on a single by Kiki Stokes to hand the Pennsylvania Rebellion a 1-0 defeat Sunday at the Scrap Yard Sports Complex.

Taylor Fuller led off the bottom of the seventh with a single to left and advanced to second on a wild pitch by Escobedo before scoring on Stokes’ single up the middle with two outs to give Houston (12-10) the win.

Abbott allowed just two hits while striking out nine. She lowered her season ERA to 0.83.

Kramer and Escobedo combined to allow just five hits.

Mandy Ogle and Lexie Elkins had the lone hits for the Rebellion (8-16).
