Trevor Kerr threw 7 1/3 shutout innings as Washington & Jefferson defeated Benedictine (Ill.), 6-4, in a non-conference game Monday in Auburndale, Fla.

Nick Vento had four hits, including a double, and Derek Helbing drove in two runs for W&J (5-3).

Kyle Brock drove in three runs for Benedictine (4-2).
