• Shaler took advantage of five Canon-McMillan errors and had a pair of four-run innings en route to a 9-2 non-section victory over the Big Macs at Consol Energy Park.

Three Shaler pitchers combined on a four-hitter and the Titans (2-0) had four extra-base hits.

The Big Macs are 1-1.

• Winning pitcher Ben Visnesky drove in three runs as Serra Catholic defeated visiting Chartiers-Houston 10-2 in a non-section contest.

The game started well for C-H (1-1) as the Bucs loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the first inning and eventually scored two runs. Serra (1-0), however, battled back and took the lead with a three-run third and scored four more runs in the fourth.
