Northgate shuts out Mapletown
BELLVUE – Mike Allen scored two rushing touchdowns and added another on a punt return and also threw for a score as Northgate shut out Mapletown, 37-0, in a Class A playoff game Friday night.
Allen scored on runs of 20 and 11 yards in the first half and added a 72-yard punt return in the fourth quarter for Northgate (9-1), which led 22-0 at the half. He threw a 20-yard pass to Chase Rowsey in the third quarter to make it 30-0.
Elijah Thomas added a 24-yard TD catch from Stefon Adams for Northgate, which advances to face the winner of today’s playoff game between California and Bishop Canevin.
Dylan Rush had 56 yards on 24 carries for the Maples, who finish 5-6. He also completed one pass for 20 yards but also threw an interception.
