Clutter runs Highlanders to win over C-H
HOUSTON – Christian Clutter scored three times, the final on for the game-winner in the third quarter, as McGuffey stopped Chartiers-Houston 20-14 in a non-section high school football game Friday night.
Clutter scored on runs of 19, 56 and 20 yards for the Highlanders (5-4). Clutter finished with 149 yards on 16 attempts and quarterback Marcus Czulewicz had 101 on 22.
T.J. Johnston scored on a one-yard run to cut McGuffey’s lead to 7-6 in the second but Clutter’s second score gave the Highlanders a 14-6 halftime lead.
Spencer Terling tied the game with a six-yard run in the third quarter but Clutter got the game-winner soon after. Terling finished the game with 103 yards rushing on 24 carries and Johnston passed for 136 yards.
