NEW WILMINGTON – Bill Madeja had two short touchdown runs, and Paul Columbo ran for one score and threw for another, as Westminster remained undefeated with a 28-7 victory over Waynesburg in a game between Presidents’ Athletic Conference rivals Saturday afternoon at Harold Burry Stadium.

The game did not count in the PAC standings.

Westminster (2-0) forged a 21-0 lead in the second quarter and scored again in the fourth quarter before Waynesburg (0-1) mustered its only points.

Madeja had touchdown runs of three and two yards to give Westyminster a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter. Columbo, the Titans’ quarterback, made it 21-0 when he raced 78 yards for a score with 3:09 remaining in the first half.

The Titans increased their lead to 28-0 when Columbo connected with Jaevon Hardy deep along the left sideline for a 54-yard scoring pass early in the fourth quarter.

Waynesburg’s only score came when quarterback Jake Dougherty capped a 25-yard drive with a one-yard run with 6:13 remaining in the game. The score was set up when defensive lineman Zach Machuga recovered a fumble by Columbo.

Westminster’s defense held the Yellow Jackets to 11 first downs and 209 total yards. Doughtery completed 12 of 26 passes for only 103 yards.
