Saxton, South Fayette sharp in win over Knoch

McDONALD – Drew Saxton completed 17 of 22 passes for 391 yards and 6 touchdowns to power South Fayette to a 49-14 victory over Knock in a Class 4-A Northwest 9 Conference high school football game Friday night.

Mikey Speca had 165 yards on 5 touches – 3 receptions for 102 yards and 2 rushes for 62 yards – and scored twice for the Lions (3-0, 5-0). Noah Plack had 6 receptions for 104 yards and Camron Garland caught two passes for 101 yards, including an 80-yard TD pass from Saxton.

Don Beck and Joe Mowod also caught touchdowns passes from Saxton. Dan Trimbur caught TD passes of 10 and 26 yards.

Knoch fell to 1-2 and 1-3.
