More teams added to PLWS

Two more teams have qualified for the Pony League World Series, which gets under way Friday at Lew Hays Pony Field in Washington Park.

Covina, Calif., won the West Zone with a 9-3 victory over Maui, Hawaii in the final and Hagerstown, Md., captured the East Zone with a 17-5 victory over Chesterfield, Va., in the championship game.

Bay County, Mich., was to play Mount Pleasant in the North Zone final and Youngstown took on Johnstown in the Host Area final today.
