Silva’s 4 RBI pace Joliet over Things

Juan Silva drove in four runs to lead the Joliet Slammers to a 7-2 victory over the Washington Wild Things in a Frontier League game Wednesday night.

Silva had an RBI double in the third and a three-run home run in the fifth for Joliet, which pounded Wild Things pitching for 12 hits. Chaz Meadows went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Joliet scored two in the third, four in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Alex Fernandez had two hits and Brailin Jackson and Kane Sweeney each had an RBI for the Wild Things.
