Brown’s hit in 9th wins it for Things

Rashad Brown doubled in John Fidanza in the top of the ninth inning to give the Washington Wild Things a 2-1 victory over the Joliet Slammers in a Frontier League game Thursday night.
Zach Strecker got the win, pitching 1 1/3 innings of relief. He was of three Wild Things pitcher to hold Joliet to one run and seven hits. Chase Cunningham went the first 6 1/3 innings, allowing one run but walking six.
Hector Roa gave Washington a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth on an RBI single. Joliet tied it in the bottom of the inning with a solo home run by Rock Shoulders.
