Wild Things acquire starting pitcher; game rained out

The Frontier League game between the Washington Wild Things and Evansville Otters was suspended Sunday after two innings at Wild Things Park because of rain.
The Otters held a 2-0 lead at the time. No makeup date was announced.
Meanwhile, the Wild Things signed a starting pitcher in Trevor Bradley and released outfielder Stefan Sabol and right-handed pitcher Jordan Schwartz.
Bradley played shortstop and pitched at Georgia Gwinett College, where he was teammates for a season with the Wild Things’ David Adkins.
GCC also is the alma mater of catcher John Fidanza, who graduated in 2014.
After redshirting the 2015 season at NCAA Division II South Carolina Aiken, Bradley made the All-Association of Independent Institutions Tournament team in 2016, after producing an on-base percentage of .409 with 40 RBI and 13 extra-base hits.
Bradley was impressive in 12 appearances on the mound, going 6-0 record with 52 strikeouts to 10 walks in 42 1/3 innings. He had an ERA of 1.91 In 42.1 innings pitched in 2016, Bradley had an ERA of 1.91 and in a game set the GGC single-game strikeouts record with 12. In 2017, Bradley went 8-4 with a save in 83 innings. He struck out 89 and walked 26 with an earned run average of 3.14.
Sabol appeared in seven games for the Wild Things and had one RBI. Schwartz pitched 21 innings in seven appearances, two starts, and had an earned run average of 9.00 with 19 strikeouts and six walks.
