South Fayette scores 42 first-quarter points in rout of Indiana
MCDONALD – Drew Saxton passed for four touchdowns and ran for another, South Fayette scored 42 points in the first quarter and the undefeated Lions cruised to a 62-14 victory over Indiana in the Class 4A Northwest Nine Conference Friday night.
The win clinched a playoff berth for South Fayette (6-0, 8-0). It is the 55th consecutive regular-season win for the Lions.
Saxton threw TD passes of 23 and 32 yards to Noah Plack, 41 yards to RayQuin Glover and 35 yards to Ryan Kokoski. He also ran 15 yards for a score during South Fayette’s big first quarter. Saxton completed five of six passes for 114 yards and the four scores.
JohnnyObenour had touchdown runs of 60 and 11 yards in the second quarter and Johnny Beck opened the scoring with a 41-yard run. Obenour rushed for 85 yards on only three carries.
Indiana is 1-5 in conference and 1-6 overall.
