Wood scores 5 TDs as California rolls to conference title

JEFFERSON – Jonathan Wood had 11 carries for 149 yards and five touchdowns in undefeated California’s 57-8 romp over Jefferson-Morgan in a Tri-County South Conference game Friday night at Parker Field.

The win assures California of at least a share of the conference title and is the Trojans’ eighth conference title in school history.

Zion Aldrich had 8 carries for 136 yards and a TD and Cochise Ryan ran six times for 124 yards and a score for the Trojans (6-0, 9-0).

Zack Gamble caught a 65-yard pass from Jacob Broadwater for the Rockets (2-4, 3-6).
