New Castle edges Ringgold

MONONGAHELA – Josh Thomason had 18 carries for 115 and a touchdown as New Castle stopped Ringgold, 20-14, in a nonconference game Friday night at Joe Montana Stadium.

New Castle (6-3) led 6-0 at halftime and 20-7 after the third quarter as Devin Sams caught a TD pass and Marcus Hooker ran one in from 10 yards out.

Ringgold (3-5) got it to a six-point deficit when Brennen Small scored.

Caleb Eisel completed 13 of 24 passes for 203 yards for the Rams.
