Defense takes night off as Beth-Center beats Bentworth, 55-35

Bailey Lincoski completed 10 of 12 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns as unbeaten Beth-Center rolled to a 55-35 victory over Bentworth in a Century Conference game played Friday night at Washington & Jefferson College’s Cameron Stadium.

Defense took the night off as the teams combined for 48 points in the second quarter, which ended with Beth-Center (2-0, 5-0) leading 47-14.

B-C’s Devin Dingle caught two touchdown passes and returned an interception 62 yards for a score. Dominc Fundy rushed for 145 yards on 11 carries and scored on runs of 53 and 20 yards.

Bentworth’s Ben Peternel caught five passes for 170 yards, including TDs of 65 and 53 yards from Shawn Dziak. Peternel surpassed 2,000 career receiving yards for his career and also returned a kickoff 70 yards for a score.

Dziak completed 15 of 25 passes for 219 yards and four touchdowns for the Bearcats (2-2, 2-3).
