Things fare well in All-Star Game

A four-run first inning paced the Experienced Team to an 8-3 victory over the Rookies Team in the Frontier League All-Star Game at River City Wednesday night.

Derrick Loveless of Normal hit two home runs and drove in five runs for the Experienced Team and was named the game’s MVP.

For the Wild Things, James Harris went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, catcher Kyle Pollock went 0-for-2 and outfielder Roman Collins went 1-for-2.

Thomas Dorminy started the game and pitched a scoreless inning with a strikeout. Zach Strecker also pitched a scoreless inning and struck out two. All five Wild Things players were on the Experienced Team.
