Greene County showdown in Best Moments in High School Sports Contest
And then there were two.
Sixteen moments for the Best Moments in High School Sports Contest were narrowed down to eight, then four and now two.
While only five of the original 16 moments were from Greene County schools or athletes, the championship pits two Greene County moments against each other: Jefferson-Morgan’s Gavin Teasdale winning his fourth state wrestling title versus McKenna Lampe hitting for the cycle to lead West Greene softball to its second straight PIAA championship.
The semifinals of the bracket-style tournament ended yesterday, and the finals begin today and end Saturday at 6 p.m. Through the first three rounds, a voter was awarded with four Washington Wild Things tickets and four guest admission passes to the Heinz History Center.
At the end of the tournament, each voter will be entered into a contest to win a $50 Amazon gift card as the grand prize. Readers do not need to be subscribers to vote or win.
