Wild Things blank Miners

Thomas Dorminy threw eight shutout innings as the Washington Wild Things shut out the Southern Illinois Miners, 1-0, in a Frontier League game.

Dorminy allowed only two hits, walked four and struck out three for first-place Washington. Zach Strecker pitched the ninth for the save.

The only run of the game came in the first inning when Roman Collins doubled in James Harris.
